Post-Doc, CLAM
About
Research areas: history of mentalities, history of medicine (theory of humors, Renaissance melancholy and hypochondria), Renaissance art and literature. Digital Humanities.
I completed my PhD at the Paris-Sorbonne & Geneva Universities (2009). I am now co-organising (with Michel Jeanneret) a book exhibition at the Bodmer Foundation and Library in Cologny (Geneva, Switzerland). During 2010-2011 I was a post-doctoral student the Université Paris-Diderot (Paris VII). The results of that research project are being progressively published online using a customised Omeka database: http://melancholystories.com
Melancholystories is a website containing a collection of texts and documents related to medicine and melancholy from the Early Modern period. It focuses on early patient case studies and the way such narratives relate to other melancholy related content: illustrations, prints, literary transpositions.
